It has been 40 years almost to the day since the ‘Welcome to the Garden Party’ concert held at Milton Keynes Bowl on 28th June 1986.

The above was the huge A3 sized 'Welcome to the Garden Party' festival programme that I kept with me for the day and is still in lovely condition!
This was I believe my first outdoor concert on a blistering hot day, accompanied by amazing bands and atmosphere. Being a huge fan of Marillion, I primarily went to the show because of them, however I left being a fan of so many other bands, especially Magnum (who I have seen again recently, 40 years later)!
The show was opened at 3.00pm by Mama’s Boys, followed by the amazing Magnum, Gary Moor, Jethro Tull, finishing with the headliners, Marillion. All for a ticket price of £12!
